About

My name is Sydney Froelich, and I am a journalist from New York City studying broadcast and digital journalism at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. I strive for authenticity in everything I create and want my personality and passion for storytelling to shine through all my work.
In fall 2024, I served as associate producer for CitrusTV’s Cuse Tonight, an entertainment show airing at Syracuse University’s student-run television station. I collaborated with the team to develop skits, write and pitch ideas, and work behind the scenes on live shows.
Summer 2025, I interned at amNewYork as a multimedia journalist. I was out in the field all over New York City covering food, entertainment, community events and more. I wrote for both digital and print, while also creating packages for social media.
Outside of reporting, I am passionate about food, specifically chicken parm. I love exploring new restaurants, whether in New York City or elsewhere, and sharing those experiences with others. Food has always been a way for me to find comfort in a new place and has connected me to amazing people and cultures.
I bring creativity and a strong work ethic to everything I do, and I would be honored to bring that dedication to your newsroom.
