For those who are always waiting for the weekend, your weekdays just got a whole lot better.

Every Wednesday at 7 P.M., Harvey's Garden trivia takes over the beer hall.

If you are in a mid-week slump and are looking for some friendly competition with a side of drinks and Toss & Fire Pizza, then this event is for you.

Participants have the option to play in a team or individually. Everyone playing gets an answer sheet that they will return to the judge after each round for scoring.

The questions are nothing you would see on “Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader.” I even practiced on Tuesday night before using those types of questions. But it left me unprepared for Wednesday night.

Some rounds are true or false, others are multiple choice, and some rounds are themed. For example, the first round this week was about anything with the word queen in it. One of the questions asked: “You can jive, you can dance,” what song do those lyrics come from? (Answer: Dancing Queen by ABBA).

As the rounds go up, so do the points…and when the final tally is in, the highest score takes the prize. Prizes include $25 and $50 gift cards to Harvey’s Garden. Results are posted each week on SyracuseTrivianight.com, where you can spot your team name on the leaderboard.

For Syracuse students and locals, it is a chance to make Wednesday nights something to look forward to.

And for those grinding through a nine-to-five, is this enough of an incentive?
